About the artwork

Inside the tondo, the individual lifetime is represented in the form of a pile of stones. It is the pebbles or grains that have already trickled down from the hourglass of life. The tondo is surrounded by individual trees and groups of trees. This arrangement is reminiscent of a clock face.
